Insects as pests
As beautiful as they are, we prefer not to see pests insects on our plants. They damage the crop, they suck on the sap of the plant and they chew on plant material. They may be the cause of the sticky leaves or even be disease carrier. Some insects are very small so that it is only possible to see the damage they cause, other species are big enough to see with the naked eye. Insects may be present only in a particular season, whereas inside greenhouses we can encounter them all year round.
Insects as enemies of the pest
Insects can actually help us fighting pests. Many insects species eat other insects, some have a preference for aphids, thrips or mealy bugs. Other may parasitized the pest. We can therefore also use them as weapons against pests insect, as beneficial, as natural enemies.
Insects ENTOCARE
We work with insects, the pests and the enemies of pests. We introduce insects as natural enemies, which is known as biological control. We rear several insect species, about 50. Of these, we have over 25 insect species as products on the market used by growers in greenhouses, and outdoor crops, public parks but also by gardeners and private gardens.
